Smith Machines are never used to their full capability - pooh poohed by the freeweight stallwarts and hogged for Bench Press or Shrugs by the majority. Well, add some variety to your training, the Smith Machine's great for performing exercises such as Standing Calf Raises (shown), Hack Squats, Upright Rows, Lunges...and many more. Plus, performing Smith Machine Standing Calf Raises as shown (with a block or box) is far more comfortable to use than most available purpose-built Standing Calf Raise Machines.
